What is the difference between a direct VHS to DVD transfer and a transfer to file?
For tapes that you simply want digitized and able to play and watch, a direct VHS to DVD transfer is most likely your best bet. There are no edits as we capture everything on the tape in real time. We organize and group tapes to your specs, provide a menu and printed on disc label. We can also transfer your tape to virtually any file format you wish for editing in all major programs such as Windows Movie Maker, Final Cut, Sony Vegas and IMovie. Many folks get both a DVD to watch now and files to have as digital backups to edit and have down the road.
Whats your normal turnaround?
Smaller orders usually are done in 1-2 days. We have many local clients that drop off a tape in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon. Larger collections could take several weeks. Let us know when you need them and we’ll do our best to get them to you.
Can you edit and cleanup footage?
Definitely. The transfer process itself can improve the picture. We’ll be glad to take a look at what you need and give you an estimate of the time involved and pricing.
I’m nervous about sending tapes off. How can I trust that my precious memories will be taken care of?
Unlike some of the “big guys” you might find online, with Revolve you’ll be dealing with one person who you can contact at anytime during the process. In addition, we can personally call you or email to let you know when things have arrived. We recommend sending via UPS as we have a good history with them as well as direct contacts if something is not on time. For our out of town clients, we definitely want to provide that “company next door” feeling that we pass on to our local clients.
I’m in the Richmond area or I am coming through. Do you have a place we can stop in?
Definitely. We have been in our same offices for several years and have clients that stop in all the time to drop off, pick up and show us what they have. Its always good to meet our clients. We are more than happy to have you.
